Seven of the ten legendary Elemental Blades have been found. Bestowed upon Bladewielders handpicked by Fate and Destiny, the weapons gift their carriers with the immense power to manipulate the forces of the elements themselves.
During what could become the kingdom’s bloodiest civil war in history, these Blades are the key to determining the victor.
King Edward, wielder of the Shadow Blade, claims the throne after murdering his father. His army of Shadow Demons enforce his rule over the nation, solidifying his position.
Prince Cadon, the true heir to the throne, fights to take revenge on his younger brother with only a small force of allies at his side. But these allies are powerful in their own individual right.
And so they struggle.
Cadon’s supporters grow slowly but steadily as he prepares to retake the throne. But he fights to defeat his brother and avenge his father, not for the crown he does not want. Lady Auline Evonell, last living member of her noble line and wielder of the Ice Blade, is dispatched to find and retrieve Avoc, a farm boy descended from royalty.
But Auline’s journey leads not only to Cadon’s distant relative, but also to an encounter with perhaps the only person who knows the truth of her dark history.
As the ghosts of Auline’s well-hidden past return to haunt her and begin to threaten the success of Cadon’s campaign, the remaining Bladewielders - once regular villagers, now heroes - must undertake a new quest to help their friend and save the kingdom once again.
