“It’s the family curse.” Whenever anything bad happened, you’d heard those same four words time and time again. When your father lost his job it hadn’t been due to the economic recession, it had been the curse. When your sister’s pet rabbit died just two days after she’d brought it home from the store, it was the curse that killed it, not your sister’s insistence to feed it jelly beans. No matter what the issue was, it could always be traced back to the family curse.

There were many days when it seemed like nothing more than convenient but superstitious nonsense. And then there were others that you found yourself waking in a cold sweat fearing that it might actually be true. With nowhere else to turn, you appeal to the internet for answers, only to discover you are not alone. Research sends you to a sleepy little town called Ivywood, nestled right on the edge of deep and mysterious woods, most notable for their supposed ties to witchcraft.
Does a witch truly lurk in those woods? And, more importantly, if they find her would she help them or only make their lives even more miserable?
