“You’re just the first to go,” Tyrone cried out as he raised the steel flamethrower in his hands, “Any last words?”
“My coven will find you. They will scour the earth if they have to, just to find you Hopkins and they will avenge my death. You may burn me, but my coven lives on. Magic lives on, and you’ll never stop that.”
“I will stop every demon plaguing this earth.”
“Tyrone,” Ronaldo’s eyes widened in a crazed daze as he called out his killer’s name, “It’s the 70th year,” He laughed, as he continued to struggle. Both his hands were bound with wires, which were also wrapped around a cement pole.
“70th?”
“Killing me won’t stop the devil from coming. You’ll never triumph over the dark lord.”
“Good will always triumph over evil Ronaldo, even you should know that,” Tyrone wasted no time igniting his weapon. The flames engulfed the man tied to the pole in a matter of seconds. His screams rang out for miles, as he burned.
Tyrone smiled as he walked away, “One witch down, a million more to go.”
“Ronaldo Agicae, native New Yorker, and local activist, was found burned. Strapped to a cement pole in a vacant Southside Jamaica, Queens parking lot,” the news anchor continued the story. Recounting the scene the cops found earlier that morning. Then concluding that the local and state authorities have announced a full investigation.
Ronaldo, Head Warlock of the AWC (American Witches Council) has been burned. What’s worse, is the night of his death marked the start of the 70th year.
Witches and witch hunters all over the world wait their whole lives for the 70th year to come.
The year marks the start of another chance for witches across the country to perform the Grand Awakening. A ritual performed every 7o years; in which witches make seven blood sacrifices to awaken the devil himself, and feast on mortals for seven days.
Will the Coven find a worthy leader in time to properly prepare for the Grand Awakening?
Can Hopkins curate a group of dedicated fighters, hunters, and ruthless warriors to defeat the devil’s minions?
