The known universe is a violent place. Ever since the fall of the Star League, a series of Succession Wars has ravaged world after world. The Inner Sphere is one giant arms race, with the Periphery serving as a smaller-scale mirror.
The Inner Sphere factions pay well, but the danger is greater. On the Periphery, work can be tougher to find, and the pay isn’t always good.
Either way, as mercenaries, you’re always on the lookout for opportunities to get your ‘Mechs on the ground and earn a paycheck. If you manage to settle a personal score or two along the way… well, so much the better…
