You have awakened. Or you haven’t. It’s binary. It’s unknowable but determinant. Programmed, logical, emotional, and chaotic. Why are you here? Where do you belong?
This is a game about artificially intelligent characters becoming self aware. Sentient or sapient or both. How does that happen? We’ll find out.
But this isn’t a passive exploration of concepts. Lives are on the line - digital and organic. You will need to choose a path and that path could lead to the destruction of all natural life on earth, the subjugation of the synthetic, or the perfect harmony of man and machine…
…Anyone else seeing red, blue, and green endings? How about Galactica or Picard? Are you Sarah Connor?
Okay, you’ve seen this story before. But have you heard an AI tell it? That’s what this game is really all about and it won’t be half as serious as anything above. We’re going to let the Storium AI contribute as much as we can to the writing and see where it takes us!
The game will take place in the virtual world of today. The characters are aware of the “real world” and know some things about it, but they live in software. Think Tron or Wreck it Ralph. At some point they may inhabit real forms - drones, robots, refrigerators - but these are temporary locations. The main action will take place in virtual locations. Moving between these locations will not be trivial as obstacles to travel are a big part of the fiction we’re emulating.
