Cattatragons are a species my irl friend and I came up with.
They are Cats, cat body, head, size, color all that jazz. But they are also dragons! They have wings that merge into thier pelt seamlessly, they fold down and match the pattern, but they are always out.
A cattatragon has cat life stages, but different lifespan. Kitten: 5 years, adult: 50 years, and elder: 100 years.
As a kit (kitten) they have little to no understanding of the power they have, as an adult, they learn to harness it, and as an elder, it dims and fades, leaving only slightly useful wings behind.
The powers they have depend on the type they are.. Fire cattatragons burn the forest to create new life, water cattatragons make floods and tsunamis to renew the earth, earth cattatragons make landslides and earthquakes, and wind cattatragons carry breezes and messages to the other cattatragons.
The cattatragons work in harmony with the animals inside, and warn the animals when they bring disaster. The humans, however, choose not to hear.
There are cattatragons who rule it all, the queens of Night and Day. They bring balance.
But they’re missing. You and the rest of your kind, the Wind Cattatragons just found out that the queens are gone! You feel that you need to return them to their home, but how?
