Beyond, California is a serene inland town, or so say the magazines that list it as the number 1 town to live in. And now, a crowd of people come there for all their own reasons: family problems, lottery prizes, and promises of luxury. But, as the Newbies find out, it feels like the locals are hiding something from them, and this something can change their lives, and maybe even end them. When the Newbies can’t get any help from the authorities, they decide to take up the investigation themselves. What will they discover? Or, who will they discover?
