I am writing with the utmost concern, for it would seem that the situation on Van Arkhail is worse than we previously believed.
The local population are besotted with a creature they know as the Dancer, and they have been led to believe that said creature is a gift from the Emperor. The PDF are conspicuously absent, and the agents of the Dancer travel freely through the streets. This cult is in control of the major roadways and the means of production.
I would even go so far as to accuse that the nobility of the planet have fallen to its charms, and in doing so would stress the importance of immediate action. If something is not done about this threat before long then I fear even the Astra Militarum would be incapable of dislodging the rot and preventing it’s spread to nearby worlds.
Unfortunately my freedom to write is short, for their eyes are upon me. I have made it my duty to assemble a force by which to assassinate the Dancer, but should my plan fail I beg of you forcefully;
