You were there on the night that the Barton Gang rode into town. Nobody knows who started the fight at the saloon, but when the dust settled and the Bartons rode off, three dozen people were dead.
You were one of them.
The town wept, the county judge vowed to bring the outlaws to justice, the dead were buried. The Barton Gang disappeared into the general lawlessness that is West Texas. It seemed like the massacre was doomed to fade into the past like a bad daguerreotype photograph.
Until tonight. Because tonight you came back.
Some power has given you one last chance to walk the Earth and settle your accounts. By sunrise you’ll be back in the grave, but until then there will be hell to pay.
