Sixty years ago, the world ended. Few survived. After the deforestation of the rain forests, there was nothing to help the earth sustain the shock of a major solar flare. Over half of the world’s population died. Major cities were reduced to desert and ruins. Years of technological advances, gone.
After six decades of survival, mother nature has taken back what was rightfully hers, but there are still those who survive. No longer is there war–the greater focus is on rebuilding. There are and always will be rogue groups of selfish survivors, whose only goal is to live another day, but do not be afraid. With help, survival is not an unachievable goal.
Desert Storm follows four characters as they struggle to survive in a small desert village founded by Tala Nokosis, an elderly healer. While there are classic survival aspects (starvation, sickness, violent groups of rogue survivors), the story will have a stronger focus on rebuilding society through cooperation and intercharacter relationships.
