Hyde High, home of the Highlanders, is your run-of-the-mill high school. Aside from the pep rallies and occasional impressive basketball game, it’s easy to sweep under the rug. The food sucks, the teachers suck, the curriculum sucks, and the system is broken.
The students are no better. There are plenty of cliques, but there are also plenty of normal, basic kids too. It doesn’t matter who or what you are; no one is immune to a detention slip.
And so, you’re here, biding your time in the World Lit room. Isn’t this a wonderful way to spend your afternoon?
