Du Weldenvarden is a very mysterious and yet enchanting place. It is the home of the elves, the race that has shown the least of their secrets to the other four races. Almost nothing is known about their magic, except for a select few, and of course all of the elves themselves.
Du Weldenvarden always prospers, even through the most difficult of times. During the great war where Galbatorix tried to overcome the world, and where a human gained some of the greatest powers in all of Alagaesia, enough to destroy even the best of opponents, Galbatorix and his army did not dare attack Du Weldenvarden, and specifically, Ellesmera, the capital city.
After the war (this game is set seven years after the war, and two years after the Storium game The Calling - An Inheritance Cycle Story), Du Weldenvarden is in a golden age. Magic has been progressing like never before, and the training of Riders is one of the priorities to many different elves. More outsiders are being allowed in, which accounts for many different new ideas and amazing epiphanies within the forest’s borders. Everything is amazing and magical and wondrous.
But there has been signs of hostility from other people, some people that have been too pushing on the elves and their magics, and have delved too deep into their own personal secrets. These people are trying to unravel centuries of progress, trying to uncover secrets of the elven community (and specifically Arya, the queen), that will prove disastrous if they succeed.
All the elves are becoming weary and untrusting of outsiders, even the outsiders who have proven themselves to be on the elves side.
What will happen? Will Du Weldenvarden be weakened enough to be attacked?
And if it is, then what will the future of Du Weldenvarden hold?
This game is based off The Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini.
