The world changed in 1934 when the Event happened, the event was not one but two incidents that changed the world forever both happening just weeks apart. The first was the arrival of the Kyrim Collective, a group of travelers whose ark ships crashed on Earth, with untold billions of Kyrimians dead the various races survive through their communities on Earth. The second event happened just seventeen days later when Nazi Archeologists came across an artifact near Alexandria Egypt. After retrieving the artifact for the Third Reich the archeologists released energy into the world revealing to the world the existence of the mystic. With both events technology advanced more than a hundred years almost overnight as humans looked into their new assets.
With the new technology the nations of the world swiftly moved to acquire what they could from the wrecks of the alien space craft, the hidden magical artifacts, and in the later year’s people with significant abilities. When World War 2 began in 1936 as the Nazis invaded the Poland joined in the war by the Soviet Union and later Italia and Japan to form an Axis, though officially the Soviets stayed out of the war their forces assisted on the Eastern Front. The Allies that formed to counter the Axis turned out to be Britain, France, the U.S. and Nationalist (Capitalist) China.
By the war’s end in 1948 Hitler’s Empire expanded over most of Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, the Low Countries and most of the Colonies in the Middle East. Stalin gained controlled the eastern half of Poland, the Baltic States, and Finland. While Mussolini overcame Spain, Portugal, Yugoslavia, and most of North Africa. Japan gained several isles of the Pacific, Vietnam, Manchuria, and a portion of Northern Australia.
As for the Allies after fighting twelve years of bloody combat on many fronts the Allies were tired from their campaigns, France had lost most of its empire to the Italians, but the Southern half of their colonies in Western Africa, Colonies in South America, and many oceanic islands they were able to retain. It was likewise for Britain, after five failed invasions of the main isle, two of them making it within five miles from Buckingham Palace and Parliament with the remains of their empires in near shambles the British went on, keeping Southern Africa, Canada, South Australia and several islands in their Empire at wars end. (India was granted independence in 1943 with Gandhi as its ruler.) Unlike the other two the American Empire emerged after the war with greater territory conquering Mexico (who had allied with Hitler) along with much of the Caribbean, those states that in Mesoamerica and South America that weren’t conquered were forced into non-aggression pacts and their governments forced to be Pro-American.
After the war the world returned to fairly normal as the world rebuilt, the Kyrimites who had mostly remained neutral in the war created the Collective, a global nation state consisting of the biggest alien settlements.
For now the war has been over for thirty years, but a cold war is heating up. Stalin wants more land and is moving his troops. Hitler the Third fears invasion and is building a wall. England’s Coven of Nine wishes to rebuild the Empire using magic. France has closed it’s borders for five years and only recently reopened with it’s leadership being an AI believing itself to be Napoleon. Italia is ruled by His Holiest Gabriel Mussolini who dreams of a Roman Empire. In China President Jiang Biwu faces threats from Communists within and two tyrannical opponents in both the east the Japanese Empire ruled by Emperor Showa while the Indian Republic (Republic only in name) is ruled by Raj Arjun Gandhi. In the Americas President Nixon who’s been in office for fifteen years (ever since the death of his predecessor JFK) faces rebellions in the Mexican and other Spanish speaking areas of America. As for the Kyrim Collective, they’re organizing their cities into a proper nation with the capital of Kyrim located on Alexander Island, Antarctica.

Bios should have nation of origin, why they chose to become a merc, also most characters should be men as female mercenaries are rare. All characters require an avatar portrait.
