NOTE: Please add cards of your own; I’m using the urban fantasy starter deck, but the character natures it provides are pretty limited, so please feel free to let your imaginations run wild.

First of all, alternate universes is complete nonsense. There is only one real world–different people simply see it through different filters.
Faded City is simply one place where you can guarantee that, if you’re there, you’re seeing it through the same filters as those next to you. However, those next to you may be fae or demons or some other unsavory beastie. Not only would these be fae of the old, less friendly mythology, but if they’re here they’re probably also members of a gang. Old magic has adapted to new concepts here, especially organized crime. Mages and even ancient gods stand alongside completely human, and no less dangerous, crime bosses. Not everything that looks like a car on these city streets is one, and they are hungry.
Faded City is an archetype of sorts. It has the reputation of a city where the best that can happen tends to be the equivalent of the worst in other places, at least for those who have heard of it. Faded is a black hole. People tend to be drawn there for reasons they do not understand and, once there, find themselves staying. You can grow to love a city like Faded, but only because it sticks its tendrils in you. If you live in Sellea, you can tell a Faded native by the way their eyes dart around, by the exaggerated ‘minding my own business’ attitude they have learned to cultivate in order to stay alive, by their never calling taxis if they can help it, by the way they carefully examine every inanimate object to make sure that it truly is inanimate…
Surviving in Faded City can be a lucrative business, if you can manage it.
