It is 1815 and the beginning of the Season in the English village of Farthington. Hearts flutter, gowns are ordered or turned and re-trimmed, matchmaking mamas assess the local gentry for eligible bachelors and bemoan the scarcity of titled suitors for their daughters.

While the Ton of London may not venture this far south, Farthington has its own Assembly Rooms and the Season begins with a ball every bit as anticipated as any in Bath or London. Tie your cravat, pick up your reticule and call the carriage - Farthington awaits!
