They say the greatest of shows
Have the greatest of secrets.
For one night only, you too can experience the greatest show on earth! Come one and all and you will be amazed by the things which our show carries. Looking for a man who can breathe fire? Or maybe you’d like to see the invisible woman! These are attractions for all, far and wide, young and old, you just need to buy a single ticket in and you’ll have the best night of your life. Bring the family, make it a date, you won’t be disappointed with the Gaper & Daper’s show!
These are the words which ring through the towns as you and your circus crew come from all over. People think the whole bit is a great show and that’s all, but you and the rest of the crew know there is something even more beneath. Almost everyone, if not everyone, belonging to the circus has some unique talents. Unique talents being a pc way of putting things. When you’ve got a demon as your fire breather and a vampire as your invisible woman, nothing is truly normal within the circus.
Gaper & Daper’s circus is known well world-wide by the strange and misshapen as a refuge for those who aren’t exactly normal. The average Joe doesn’t exactly like a guy who can steal his soul, you know? The only thing required of you is that you work for the circus for the shelter and community you’ll experience in the circus. Many always love the place. Gaper & Daper’s allowed you to express your talent without people being afraid, without people being scared of what is happening. It was all a show, always.
Then the letter came.
Something only the ringmaster really read. A letter threatening the circus, telling the place to shut their tents and never perform again. The threat said people from the circus would start dying if demands weren’t met, but who could really go against such a group of freaks?
Then people started vanishing. One after the other, people kept vanishing from the circus.
Whatever the danger is, it seems all the more apparent now.
This is a supernatural type story where your characters (hopefully) work in a circus together. Many, if not all, of you will have no idea of what has been happening around the circus as of late, but you’re just enjoying your time here in the ring.
Feel free to incorporate all sorts of mythology within the game, using any and all mysticism you want. I’ll be glad to work with you on this part.
