Set in Georgian England, you will know just how to make your characters behave.
Won’t you? You’ll be right at home.
All you have to do is seemlessly navigate polite society.
Tact is the order of the day - not being too pushy, not saying anything directly, being able to follow all the social cues.
If it’s any comfort, all the other players will be in the same position.
The idea behind this game is that its all the fun of being in a period drama; but realising that most players won’t really know how to behave. They have a vague idea, but that’s about it.
So you do your very best to play your character with all the manners and mannerisms, and so does everyone else, and we somehow bumble along.
There will be challenges to achieve - preventing an unsuitable marriage, excusing yourself from the season’s ball, getting the salt passed down the table - all to be done without embarrassing yourself or anyone else.
Of course, if there are any players who can do this sort of thing authentically, please come along for the ride! We can all follow your lead!
I’d say its a comedy of manners; but it will probably be more awkward than that!
