It is a time of great upheaval.
The Redstone Pride was ravaged by plague. With their food sources greatly diminished by the same illness, and the threat of infection still lingering, the survivors have been forced to abandon their territory in search of more sustaining lands.
The Sweetwater Pride faced a devastating wildfire that claimed many of their number and left their formerly verdant land barren. They, too, have been forced to strike out and seek a new home.
The two ragged bands encountered one another wandering the desert. After some initial dust-ups, the influential figures of each pride decided they would fare better if they stuck together. Not all of the pride members are in agreement, though, and tensions between the two groups remain high. If they’re going to survive, they’ll have to find a way to work together without killing each other first.

You may feel free to apply as a member of either pride, or as a rogue lion from neither that the group happened across. I will also consider non-lion companions to the group, within reason. A zebra is instant dinner for these starving cats, and lions don’t trust other predators easily. A companion of another species should have something to offer the group that makes them worth keeping around. The rulers of both prides perished in their disasters, but it is possible that their direct relatives and possible heirs survived. You may apply as such, but if I get too many requests for this I may request revision of your character.
This is my first game as a narrator, so bear with me while I learn the controls. I’m hoping for a group that will each make at least one post roughly daily. I have provided some cards, but encourage you to make your own as well. I’d like for the tone of the game to be somewhat lighthearted, but with some drama as well, very Lion King inspired.

We just had a character retire, so I’m opening this back up for probably just one new character, preferably a lioness, but lions will also be considered. We will not be accepting more non-lion characters at this time.
