Being one of the people who carry this establishment’s coveted membership card means you’ve been acknowledged as an influencer among influencers, but it also makes you part of the problem.
Any skyscraping fortune found in The City was built on the backs of people working for slave wages in its polluted streets. Many go without food, homes, or medical treatment while you bribe cops and sleep on silk jacquard— really, it’s no wonder they wish you were dead.
Tonight, a series of explosions will reduce L’Hibou and everyone inside to ash. Of course, like others of your pedigree, you won’t actually be present in any way that could result in permanent harm; your physical brain floats in a nutrient bath miles below the streets with servers casting your consciousness into a lifelike biomechatronic corpus.
