The year is 3950 BBY (one year after the events of the video game Knights of the Old Republic II), and the Republic is reeling from 50 years of constant war. The Exar Kun Wars, the Mandalorian Wars, and Revan’s betrayal leading to the Jedi Civil War has greatly wounded the Republic and left the Jedi Order in ruin. After the defeat of Revan and Malak the Sith Empire splinted and fragmented, however a group calling themselves the Sith Triumvirate executed a campaign to purge the galaxy of the few remaining Jedi, and they were almost successful. Their defeat a year prior has allowed the Jedi Order to begin rebuilding.
In the past year a new Jedi Council has been established on the planet La’ren, located in the Onvo System. The Onvo System is home to a large fleet-base for the Republic Navy, and as such La’ren is consistently well protected. Ancient temples on the lush, forested planet now serve as a new Jedi Praxeum, where the next generation of Jedi will be trained. However, currently there are merely a few dozen Jedi left in the Order, so there is much work to be done!
Jedi Master Bastila Shan, the head of the new Jedi Council, has invited you to partake in a mission to help rebuild the Jedi Order. Since the Jedi Civil War many Jedi became disillusioned and left the Order, and many more simply went into hiding to escape the many Sith assassins hunting them. Your Mission: Find these lost Jedi and convince them to return to the Order. The Jedi Council has commissioned a modified Barloz-Class Corellian Freighter named The Minerva for use in your search. Once the team is assembled you’ll head out in search of lost Jedi, hidden throughout the galaxy.
Note to Players: You’re welcome to play whatever type of character you’d like, including Jedi Padawans or Jedi Knights (there can be as many Jedi as you want, and if players want to coordinate two people can be a knight/padawan pair). You are also more than welcome to modify the cards I’ve created or make entirely new ones. The only important factor you must extol upon is why you have been selected for this mission. For Jedi and Republic personal this is easy enough, but if you’re a bounty hunter, Mandalorian or the like you must explain why you want to be part of this mission and why the Jedi Council trusts you with this responsibility.
