After his father dies, a young elven mage-in-training gets accepted as an apprentice to one of his father’s best friends, who is one of the best mages that currently don’t have an apprentice already. After a while training together, they develop a relationship like the boy had with his father. But somebody else is watching him, ready to rip him away from one of his only lifelines in the world…
