Basic Story Outline
Religious fathoms has stopped most people from entering a dark, secluded area known as “Ludicrous”. An unknown character has given out invitations to meet there at sunrise, disobeying the laws set in stone, where they will be equipped and briefed. They each have their own reasons for tagging along to this secret and mystifying land.
In a land shrouded with mystery, a band of five adventurers are travelling into an outlawed and secluded area just outside of Phoenix.
Phoenix
The citizens of Phoenix are white-skinned, human people as they stick to the law of purity and don’t mix with other nations very well. This isolation can cause mutated DNA and imperfections to become more noticeable, so similar traits are found among the community. There’s no reason that your character has to be 100% Phoenix though, as long as they don’t show it and it’s not completely obvious then your character should be okay.
Any sort of magic and they would be burnt to the stake, being insulted as “witch” or “wizard”. Magic is considered to be the work of the devil to the citizens of Phoenix, so they don’t practice it nor tolerate it. Other civilizations have been known to use magic but the city doesn’t deal with them. The black market probably contains magic possessions somewhere though - if they look hard enough.
Ludicrous is a sacred place that they must have no part of, but today these mix of characters plan to disobey the rules and explore it for themselves. Perhaps there’s more to this world than the boundaries set by their close-minded ancestors.
