NOTE TO NEWCOMERS
I do have two retired characters that would love to play again. This game has been dormant for a long time, but I am motivated to get it running again. Recruiting fresh blood is the first part.
Brief history
One hundred years ago, Magician rebelled against the Industrial Revolution. They founded the United States of Magic (USM).
Ten years ago, an Enchanter of the Deschanels family created the first Compugic (computer-magic) relic and founded the Drago Corporation, revolutionizing the Magic world. Today, the Drago Corporation is the all-powerful technomagic leader.
Now, everyone has a Compugic at home, and the MaNet(Magic-WWW) is where you can find any information, of any kind.
(You don’t need to have any magic to use the Compugic or MaNet but it’s needed to modify/create it)
You are
You came from a family of Witch/Wizard or Magician, and now your old enough to be your person. You didn’t swear (yet) any Magician Pledge but you can plan to and prepare for it.
General goal
You have been nominated for a curious program. You don’t know anything at first about it, but they say that you have been singled out from the whole country.
You just have to present yourself at the Association, in San Frederico, next Monday morning.
Something about politics and… a society crisis? You don’t really know in fact.

As Magic was hereditary, the rule is simple.
Invisible are not even citizen: they don’t have any rights, they don’t have any magic. Their children are the same.
Witch/Wizard are the basic citizens of the USM. Their children are the same. They can study and become Magician.
Magician, as children were Witch & Wizard, that are educated (kind of doctorate) and sworn to respect the Rule Of Good Usage of Magic. Their children are back to Witch/Wizards (and can study, of course)
Enchanter/Enchantress are the ruling class. They are responsible for everyone under them, they are in all the positions of powers. There is Fifty Family. You can’t become an Enchanter, only the birth can make you one. (some rumours about marriage… but it’s not as if you could mingle with them and win them with your charms…)
Rule of Good Usage of Magic (Magician swore to respect it when they become Magician)
Rule 1: You will use Magic with restraint.
Rule 2: You will help your fellow mage (witch/wizard/magician/enchanter/enchantress)
Rule 3: You will uphold order and harmony.
Laws of the USM (everyone must respect it)
Every Enchanter/tress word is LAW.
