For years, special people had been mistreated. They were called freaks, monsters, aliens, you know, just horrible names. Normal people would never accept them, nor would they allow them to live in their towns or go to their schools. In order to properly dispose of them, civilians hunted them and stole everything they owned. They would beat them before they killed them, make them prisoner, and wait for them to die from dehydration/starvation.
They’d kidnap their kids and send them off on burning boats. They’d never leave them alone, ever.
And they all knew they’d never be accepted…
Until one day…A very special girl indeed ran away. Her powers were strong, and no one could stop her. She was almost like medusa, except she didn’t have snakes for hair or a tail. But she could turn people into stone. Anyone who got in her way would be rockified, with no mercy.
She hid in a cave until the coast was clear…but something called her…something told her to go deeper…And she did…
The cave seemed to have another end, as she entered a beautiful meadow with a giant old building in the middle.
There was enough land to build a farm, animals roamed through it, and the best part…normals couldn’t get in.
As the years went past, she made it a suitable home (and school) for children just like her.
She’d teach them to use their powers, how to stay hidden, and how to survive.
