On the supercontinent of Nostrilia, a medieval world full of cultures and exploration, there lies a small land called Mispel.
The lord of this foresty land, king Bastar, faced a great problem. A sorrow invaded his mind. A fear that he lost control of himself. A distress caused by the thought of causing destruction, for one word could birth great chaos. The unfortunate king knew no way to solve this. Even if he did resign, his culture forced him to stay a prince, and also princes had a lot of power.
Luckily for the great lord, an opportunity to escape came. A way to break through this eternal sorrow, granted by a mighty wizard named Oor Ife Hoices.
Hoices had a mighty spell to take away one’s memories. He made many people forget for but two pieces of copper each. It was a tragic job, but the man earned well from it. He saw desperate people forget problems to avoid them. He watched as people lost memories of their children and other people they loved. The wizard knew his spell often did bad; people wanted to forget their inevitable
troubles. They chose poorly.
So did the king. He forgot his land and reign after resigning. And so Mispel was left without a ruler.
The land suffered. There was no order without a king or queen or even a prince or princess that knew what to do. It was impossible to just pick a new ruler. They had to be a child of the royal family, taught by his father. So now the land needed the prince’s missing royal knowledge.
And thus a couple of people, our protagonists, who were very familiar with the kingdom, were sent to help former king Julius Bastar remember all he had to. They were tasked with showing him around, guiding him past dangerous areas, and in any other way teaching him about the country and safely involving him in his land’s own dangers.
