In a world unknown to the people of Earth, magic and fantasy are real.
In the world of Orien, a great darkness once threatened to devour the world. Heroes rose up to defend their homes, and the world was saved. But their victory was never meant to be permanent, for their power was insufficient to truly snuff out the darkness.
All they could do was seal it away, and prepare future generations for the battle as best they could.
Thus, the first academies of heroism were established.
Now, over a thousand years have passed since the darkness was sealed. Technology and magic have advanced an incredible amount since that time.
Rumors abound that it will break free of its prison, one of these days. Despite fears of the end, there have been no signs of trouble, as of yet.
For now, a new generation of student heroes are starting their journey. By the end of this journey, they will be champions of the light, and a great force for good.
For now? They’re just students at the most prestigious school of heroism on Orien.
