The end of the world was not televised.
Larger cities went dark, one by one. Smaller cities started to go after. The internet was dotted with reports of strange things happening, and sorting algorithms stashed those reports alongside the rumors of chemtrails and the melting point of steel beams.
When a small down like Weston was taken over by hordes of ill and panicked citizens? There was nothing to be done. Screams started in the early morning, and by midday? The only place to remain was the medical clinic, Weston-Baker Memorial. Not the CDC by any stretch and barely staffed after a Friday of hard drinking, it’s one of the last safe places in the county.
Clock in.
