Bayport Harbor…
A name synonymous with neon lights, broken dreams, and underground organizations.
Not all of them are nefarious, however, like the Octane Car Club. A group of people that came together from backgrounds as diverse as their rides and had started out meeting once or twice a week. They drove any class of machine, they took part in any contest.
They weren’t rich.
They weren’t superstars.
Some of them didn’t even know the first thing about cars.
As inflation and the cost of living in western society soared, more and more people turned to their phones and screens to escape it all. In an era rife with rules and correctness, replacing things instead of repairing, cameras and surveillance, heavy traffic, high-population, violence, turmoil, and drug-abuse, the members of OCC turned to a dying form of competition to find their own meaning in the madness.
Street racing.
For the club and it’s participants, it wasn’t about challenging others, it was about challenging themselves. Each driver had their own reasons for getting behind the wheel, and this handful of individuals had found a way to express themselves without getting into trouble, well, not too much trouble.
But then she came along…
She didn’t just get her kicks from the speed.
She played off the heat of their passions.
She challenged what limits they were willing to reach.
She put them, and everyone around them, in danger.
She took this little light they had all found, this flame,
And added alittle petrol.
