Two years after the end of James Halliday’s Easter egg hunt the Oasis is a different place. The Cataclyst wiped out half the population of the Oasis. Those who did not fight are more powerful than those who did. The end of the hunt left a huge hole in the Oasis, gunters had nothing left to work for and gunter clans had no idea what to do with them self’s. Everyone felt lost without anything to take up their life’s with. Many powers tried to control the Oasis and put it under their control. Many big clans started fighting for control over planets and sectors.
It was around this time that everyone got an email with a video called Parzival’s Invitation. He wanted to give the Gunters another hunt. He was not offering all of his money or control of GSS but instead he was offering ten billion dollars as well as making your avatar an admin inside the Oasis. This would mean you were all powerful and could do just about anything you wanted.
In Parzival’s Video he said the contest would be very close to the original
“Three hidden keys open three secret gates
Wherein the errant will be tested for worthy traits
And those with the skill to survive these straits
Will reach the end where the prize awaits”
The last thing he said in the video was “have fun with Acererak”
