The robot apocalypse never came. Humans, or what’s left of their humanity, are doing a fine job destroying the world as we know it. Almost everyone is wired to the grid. If they’re not, they are either tagged against their will or chased off to the outskirts of civilization. Recently there have been short lived rumors of loved ones and long time friends’ personalities dulling drastically. The rumors only seem to linger on the most underground of forums.
Natural resources are almost extinct. Everything is powered by the sun. There is no energy neutrality. The wealthy gets the lion’s share and the poor fight over drained power cells.
Superstorms are on a weekly basis now. Much of the world is in rubble. The remaining scattered Metropolis class Geo-domes are bulging at the seams. The Earth is dying. Life beyond the domes is a death sentence.
Borders have been eradicated by the elements. Governments are a thing of the past. The United Humanity Forces (UHF) are all that stands on the broken pieces. They uphold the 10 absolute laws set in place for all to follow:
Do not KILL.
Do not STEAL.
Do not HACK.
Do not ABDUCT.
Do not CONSPIRE.
Do not AGGRESS.
Do not FALSIFY WITNESS.
Do not COVET.
Do not PROTEST.
Do not UNPLUG.
This universal paramount is all that keeps the world from spiraling faster into oblivion.
Big businesses have forced their way to the top. Unbeknownst to the public, there is one business that is above the rest. It is the equivalent of the entire United Nations combined at its pinnacle before the Global Cyber War of 2055. They conceal their name among the countless products that they force feed to the public. Above all there is one parent company that continues to shape mankind to its liking: The Bilderberg Brotherhood Corporation (BBC).
Civil unrest tears at the seams of society. A revolution must come before destruction falls. One technobotonist, Bartram Turing, might have stumbled upon the answer. His breakthrough could save the world… at the cost of the current one. Most would find him mad and the BBC would erase him on sight. Can he find those unhinged from the deathgrip of cyber consumerism to help him in time to save the rest?
