Crime has been far easier as of late in Fell Harbor. The black law seems to be pursuing the typical criminals with a lot less fervor lately. Those on the force know that they have been ordered by an emergency directive to apprehend and destroy other targets, often seemingly without a pattern to them or a specified reason for doing so.
Meanwhile, the Red and Green Suns, an organization of intellectuals, and network of patrons of various projects around Fell harbor, has been growing in numbers and now many suddenly find lines of green and red spread across buildings, and sometimes even hanging in mid-air about the city, and pirates are saying that these bizarre lines that seem to be utterly flat are out at sea and on the neighboring islands as well.
What do these strange verticle lines mean? What, if anything, is the strange group doing? And finally, why are the Black Law suddenly so less vigilant, or why are their targets seemingly random now.”
=======
This story takes place in the “Hell’s Harbbor” setting, but except perhaps for a little gore, it will not be R-rated in terms of nudity or other stuff like that.
In this story, you’ll play as a pirate, criminal, or lawgiver of Fell Harbor and try to unravel the mystery of the strange apparitions, the odd behavior of the new order and the Black law, and the chaos that will ensue if the strange events continue, and you better do it quick while you still have a grip on reality to do it with.
This story is somewhat inspired by the 19th-century science-fiction allegory, “Flatland” In particular, it is based on the part of the book that details “The Color Conspiracy.” No knowledge of the book is required for this game, nor is it particularly helpful since my inspiration is very loose.
I am to a point following the world pretty straight, so please read the player freference before submitting a character, any departures I am making from the world will be in the “information for invitees” section on the application page.
