Sickness has befallen the inmates of Jior, a prison island off the coast of Rumond. Thirty-nine have taken ill, all of them inmates, and all have shown delirious penitence before dying.
Those old enough to remember the archaic tongue call the sickness Bayiisa, an approximation for regret. But most are not, and they simply call it a plague…

This is a medieval fantasy game.
Characters in this story may be inmates of the prison, guards, doctors come to investigate, anything that places you on the island.

All moves, including Narrator, should be in the form of a document or an article: letter from (or to) your character, journal entry, poem, medical report, anything your character would put down in words.
You are not limited to a single format for every move, but each individual move should be kept to just one type.
Insofar as tone, I’m looking for moves to be deeply personal (to your character of course!). There is room for humour, but I’m leaning towards a darker tone.
Frequency is casual; I intend to move once a week. No pressure on anyone to post, but please just let us know if you’ll be away for more than a week.

Those who know my narrating style are aware that I prepare very little. I prefer to run a very player-centric game, and encourage a collaborative approach where we build the world through the storytelling.
I ask that submissions be 250 words or less, and in one of the formats mentioned above (rather than a character description).
I’ll leave submissions open until 9am, Monday, 1st December 2014 (my time: GMT + 11:00).
