The ship is an enormous cylinder that rotates to create artificial gravity. Outside of the main hull is the super structure, its where all of the solar sails guide lines and masts exits. It’s also where cargo is secured and the Lobsters and CRABs frolic in the vacuum of space.
The Deep Space Vessel Wild Dandelion is an antique. Originally one of a three vessel fleet with it’s sister ships Sun Flower and Morning Glory her mission was to deliver the first Shaper embryos to the rings.
Our future is in outer space. We’ve colonized the solar system. There are 2 distinct branches of humanity whose lifespans measure from centuries to immortality. Shapers, the genetically modified. Mechanists, the cybernetically modified. The Mechanists have been at war with the Shapers for decades, fighting over whose technology is more powerful and efficient.
The species occupies almost every inch of the solar system and is generally in a permanent state of war. The Shapers and Mechanist factions both disagree with the future outlook for the species except when in comes to the subject of Artifical Intelligence, which both sides are heavily invested. From a terraformed Mars, to the outer asteroid Beltsville’s and crackerjack camps, humanity is just as awful as it ever has been.
