“Interesting, isn’t it? The Federation claims to abhor Section 31’s tactics, but when they need the dirty work done, they look the other way. It’s a tidy little arrangement, wouldn’t you say?” -Odo, 2375
Starfleet Charter, Article 14, Section 31: Extreme measures are to be taken during times of extreme threat to the Federation.
From the Charter Section 31 was born in secret. Above Starfleet Code and the Prime Directive. Instead, the Section 31 Prime Directive became, “if the ends justify the means, protect the Federation at all costs.” For centuries Section 31 sought beyond Starfleet policy and objectives in order to protect the Federation, and at times in doing so, crossed paths with the likes of Kirk and Picard, helping from the shadows.
The year is 2393, fifteen years ago Voyager returned from the Delta Quadrant, seventeen years ago the Dominion War ended. A lot has changed since then. The Galaxy has gone to hell, Romulus is gone, destroyed six years ago by the Hobus Supernova, leaving the Star Empire in a state of Civil War. Relations between the Klingon Empire and Federation have almost broken down. The Dominion is still a real threat to anyone on the other side of the Wormhole. The Breen and Tholians constantly threaten fringe worlds and attack colonies. And still beyond these threats there are greater, threats that need to be dealt with. That is where Section 31 fits into all this.
Built in Secret the Starship Hyperion is the first of its kind, a ship almost fully automated. A ship to be run strictly by Section 31, outside Federation law, like the Tal Shiar and Obsidian Order. The Hyperion’s mission, to seek out threats to the Federation, and quietly eliminate them before they can strike.
Narrator’s Note: Characters can be from any Federation race, such as Human, Vulcan, Andorian, Tellarite, Suarian, Trill, Bajoran, etc. and for non federation species characters can also be Klingon, Cardassian, Romulan or Reman.
This game is for people who can handle long term stories and are fans of star trek. Will accept between 4-6 players. Natures are what type of profession you are, we can have more than one of each, but no more than two.
