In an extraordinarily industrialized world, magic still tears its head from time to time, but in the past few decades, magic has increased its spread dramatically. Lots of children are born wielding the elements, strange artifacts from bygone eras are rediscovered, and the government struggles to keep up.
Recently, entire swathes of the planetary cityscape have been erased completely. This type of thing reflects badly on the government, and several operatives were sent to never be heard from again.
That’s where you come in. All of you were sent as children to the Institute for the Development of Magical Abilities (IDMA). Now that you are grown, the institute wishes to send you to find the source of the disturbances and put an end to the destruction.
