You were looking forward to having a vacation.
You didn’t even mean to end up here. No-one ever does. Your car has broken down and this is the nearest place you thought you could find help. It seems there are some other travelers here. They’re in the same situation as you. Cars broken down, no phone signal and no idea what or where this place is. It wasn’t on the signs or any of your sat-navigation. The next place is supposedly 50 miles away. It looks like you’re stuck here for now. You’ll have to survive somehow.
This city is covered in mist, hanging over it like a thick blanket. It snakes and slinks around the city, in and out of every alleyway. The city is cold and there’s no-one around. Whatever the distant sounds are, resonating through the streets, you hope it’s Pink Floyd. There are no signs of any locals. Shops and businesses are set-up as if they expect customers but the main street is deserted. This can’t be right at all- this place should be buzzing with life. It’s the strangest thing you’ve seen.
But, there’s one more thing about this city. It knows you have a secret. Something that you did or that happened to you. Something you keep tucked away in the darkest corners of yourself. And this city will haunt you for it.
APPLICATIONS
The more detailed they are the better. I’d like really well-formed characters with in-depth back stories. I’d like to keep the characters to the ‘everyman’ variety and but I encourage custom cards. The ones I gave are just a guide. As for whatever their secret is, it can be as dark as you like. It should be stated and explained on the application- so I can build around it.
THE GAME
Based heavily on ‘Silent Hill’ and the psychological horror genre. There will be no monsters here, just the human psyche running loose. That itself could be considered monstrous. This could get violent and a little gory later on, so, keep that in mind please! I’ll mark it NSFW.
Ideally looking for 4-5 players. Closing applications on the 22nd May.
