In June 2014, NASA scientists were alerted to Daisy, a gigantic asteroid on a collision course with earth. Eyeballing its trajectory, the scientists predicted the time to impact at 6 months (give or take a year).
With little time to spare, a crack team of specialists was assembled. They were the best in their vague respective fields, rallied to face the threat using the most exciting, expensive, and impractical methods known to man.
