“Into every generation a slayer is born: one girl in all the world, a chosen one. She alone will wield the strength and skill to fight the vampires, demons, and the forces of darkness; to stop the spread of their evil and the swell of their number. She is the Slayer.”
That’s what they all thought. That’s the way it’s always been, one girl in all the world, but when Buffy died (briefly) at the hands of the Master, a new Slayer is called, unbeknownst to Buffy, Giles, or the Watcher’s Council. Indeed, the Potential Slayer herself hadn’t been found to be trained by her own Watcher. A true innocent. But her Watcher prepares, nonetheless, waiting for their time to come.

The pacing of the game will be Slow to Normal - at the very least one full scene every 2 weeks. But PLEASE don’t sign up if you can’t commit to regularly playing, at least one post per week. I just ask that if anyone needs to be away for a few days, just give us a heads up in the comments, and I will as well.
We may experiment with switching between Narrators during different parts of the story either as a guest ‘Director’ of sorts, for part of the story. Also, this is an LGBT friendly game.
This story begins in 1997, just after Buffy dies for the first time. Instead of Kendra being called, who was next in line in the show, another girl is called, which no one expects, since Buffy lives. A Watcher in St. Louis, Missouri, diligently prepares and is surprised when the mystics begin to mutter about a new Slayer awakening. At this point in time, no one knows who that new Slayer will be.
I think 16 should be the minimum age, unless there’s a really good backstory reason (maybe gifted?). So that would make our high schoolers Sophomores/2nd year students.
I am creating very basic Nature, Strength and Weakness cards, so that each of you can edit them to fit your character concept. I may ask you to edit your submissions if the characters end up being too similar to each other or need to be tweaked to fit into the story/locale better. Back stories are welcome, as they help you get to know your character and can potentially be tied into future parts of the story to add depth to the story. Family issues, prior experience with any sort of supernatural being/event, traumatic events, phobias and special strengths, knowledge or training are all helpful. You don’t have to have any prior knowledge of St. Louis - I’ll lay down the flavor with the locales & potentially NPCs. :D
