The first Winter of the new millennium brought tragedy to Lakewood High School. It was the same story that would repeat itself across schools all over the country for years to come.
But what happened here didn’t receive as much national attention as other shootings because of the relatively low body count, there were a total of three injured, one of them the perpetrator in a failed suicide attempt.
But on the Summer Break of 2001 a handful of survivors will try to forget and embark on a cross country road trip to visit a former stranger, the boy who saved their lives.
========================================
This will be a sort of dramedy, filled with indie movie tropes about road trips essentially.
Characters will all have to be high school students, try to think up characters from all over the social spectrum for this one. They don’t have to all know one another, or even like each other, they’ll be putting all that on hold, at least for a while. I’ve made some sample Nature cards but I’ve left the rest up to you.
I’m looking for a small cast, enough to fit into a van, maybe 4 to 6 at most.
This is my first attempt at narrating so there’ll be some hiccups, it’s also a bit of an experiment, and I expect it to be a shortish game.
