A final war arrives. Prepare. The voice echoes in your mind, and as you are reborn into your next form, you know that it speaks truth. Each of you has known true things, but all were not truths. Truths were things that only a few could know, as the world itself was made by knowers of them. And similar creatures shall be what bring about its end.
You are on the battlefield. You wield axe, sword, bow, spear. You man the catapults, the trebuchets, the ballistas. You bring down spellfire, eldritch words, pure fury upon your enemies. Your enemies are the monarchy, the rebellion, the warrior men from the frozen wastes, the scum trying to invade our icy home. You are a general, an admiral, a grunt, a follower. You are a being bound to war, and you have fought in every single one. You have fought for an army, and a decade later, you fought against it. Centuries later, you fought against your own followers, thinking you to be an ancient god of war. But you’re not a god, you’re merely a soul that was promised endless battle and glory in your afterlife, but the powers that decided your fates chose to honour only the first part of your wish, so now you fight. You are well aware they are using you to resolve conflicts, and are also aware that somehow, every time you fight, you do something significant. You kill an infamous barbarian lord, you bomb one of their war machines, you get your hands on their tactical documents. You are being used as a vessel by the gods to tip the tides of war. And despite you realizing the unfairness of the situation, you love every second of it. You love shedding blood of those your new self calls enemies. You love the sheer fury that awakens within you in battle. You love the feel of cold steel, expertly crafted machinery, carved ivory in your hand. You are merely a vessel for war, and you don’t want to stop. But a war is coming, a big one, and it might be the last one, or at least that’s what you’ve heard. This might be your last chance to do something more legendary that you’ve every done in your past war lives. What will it be?
