News travel fast in the web [1]. Especially news about death. Rovenio’s death came as a surprise to no one. If anything it was surprising how he managed to live so long. Daring, dashing and envied, Rovenio lived as one of the most successful and notorious indies [2] in the web, until he settled down in southern Arcande, as a trusted garrista [3] of Dead-eye, Caffor’s spider [4].
Rovenio lived in Lungo, a quiet town close to Caffor with his wife Tiana. Dead-eye trusted him and his group of loyal henchmen, the “Ravens”, with top secret missions of great difficulty. When something needed to be done quickly, efficiently and without anyone knowing, Rovenio stepped up.
No one knows the circumstances of Rovenio’s death. He was found face down in the mud of one of Caffor’s narrow alleys, no sign of violence discovered on him.
Today is a sad day for Lungo. Today is a sad day for the Web. For today is the day of Rovenio’s funeral.
