The gifts we were given
Heroes are made, not born. Even in this modern day, darkness creeps at the edges of our world. Just out of sight of mortal man. It this between space, the chosen still fight.
Chosen by the Gods and heroes long past, the inheritors of The Gifts fight the darkness
The Gifts
The Ring of Zeus…The staff of Odin…the Key of Hermes. Enchanted items made and given to the Chosen children of man to fight the darkness at the edge of our world.
By acts or by blood, one is chosen to fight for us all when a time of Darkness starts to form. with the girt or gifts they are given, this hero now must fight those who wish to undo this world.
Ragnarok, The Titans’s rebellion of ancient times, even Roanoke (on a smaller scale). All times that Heros had failed.
Now more then ever the world needs Heroes. Seeing the growing darkness, the Gods of the North, South, East, and Wast have gathered over the City that will the battle ground. The have crafted the gifts or called upon old ones. Chosen new heroes, or sought out old bloodlines. More heroes have been chosen in this age then any other. For only together can we stop the end or our age.
Enter a modern day world of myth. Where everyday people go from their normal lives, to seeing the world as a place of Monsters, demigods, and Nymphs.
Character Making:
Players can make a hero newly chosen be a God or Goddess to fight for mankind. Given an item after a act that caught the Gods attention. Ex. Thor would find favor in someone who stood up to a robber in a convenience store who chose the safety of others over there own. Maybe they picked up a baseball bat (That was somehow just there when they needed it most) and fought off someone who was attacking a homeless man. The next thing the Hero knows, sparks start to come from the bat and the attacker goes flying. The baseball bat is now a Gift. A tool blessed by Thor. A modern day Mjölnir Jr. This newly formed bond with the God who made this gift is strong, but you know little of this world.
Or the Player can make a hero that comes from a family that has held the favor or the God(s)/Goddess(s) for many generations. Often if the Gift does not chose a Hero in that bloodline, a member of that family with look after it as it’s Keeper till a hero dose come. Sometime a Keeper can become the Gift’s hero over time. The bond with the Gods is older but not as strong as the first Hero chosen long ago (Your ancestor) but you know about the shadow world next to the human world and will be bettor connected. Need a healing spell? You know someone or have a friend. (You can also play someone who never got a chance to learn there family’s secret before being pulled into this world.)
A girt almost always comes after a test of some kind. More often then not, the human does not know they were being tested till long after the fact.
Gift Making
I will have some pre-made Gifts, but also you can make your own. Just remember that you just got your gift so it can’t be to Over Powered. Ex, A key that can unlock any lock is alright. A sword that can cut a car in half is a bit much at first.
This game will have a danger LvL 0-10
We will be starting a 5. Every time the main Chapters quest is ended, basted on the results the score will go up or down. If it gets to 10, game over. The world is filled in darkness and it is the end of the age of man. 0 and the darkness has been pushed back once more. You saved your world…till the next age of Heroes is needed.
Host License is own because this is basted on a set of short stores I have been working on, so it’s dear to my heart and I’ve had stores stolen in the past. Your characters are still yours
