The wind started to blow. The tree house started to spin. It spun faster and faster. Then everything was still. Absolutely still.
And that was the way so many adventures began. Annie would bound down the tree house ladder, Jack chasing after her- yelling at her to wait up and let him check their research book.
At the bottom of the rope ladder someplace new awaited them. The Taj Mahal, the World’s Fair, the moon.
It seemed the adventures would never end for the Master Librarians. Until they did.
Until there came a day when the tree house appeared in the tallest oak in Frog Creek Woods, yet the siblings didn’t.
It could have been homework, or their parents’ concern, or any number of things that held them up. But most likely, it was just life.
The day turned into weeks, and the weeks into months, and the months into years.
The tree house faded in color until, eventually it faded altogether, leaving for Camelot or somewhere else.
But there would come a time when the tree house would have to return. Whether Jack and Annie were ready for it or not.
When the tree house returned, it had been nearly 30 years since Jack and Annie’s first adventure. They had grown up into adults and raised families of their own.
Annie’s life is everything she’s ever dreamt of, a job as a veterinarian and a loving family.
Jack’s life, on the other hand, has completely fallen apart. His wife died and ever since he’s been distant, burying himself in his work as a historical researcher.
And when neither felt the call of the treehouse, there was no one to hear it except their children, teens with their own stories to be told.
But this time it’s not only the past that’s at risk…
While this is a game based on the Magic Tree house books, if you’re not familiar with the series I can always fill you in.
But here’s a quick synopsis:
Jack and Annie were a brother and sister who found a time-travelling treehouse in the woods near their house. They travel to the past via pointing to a picture in a research book and saying “I wish we could go there!” and with the help of friends from the mythical kingdom of Camelot they learn, grow, and save both the past and Camelot (at different times).
But what if the danger was closer to home?
