One in one hundred people are Marked, while the rest of the people are UnMarked. The Marked are people who have the power to control a force call ejimi. Ejimi is basically telepathy. It’s strength, ability to control it, and other qualities. For example, a hot-headed person might have powerful ejimi, but it’d be hard to control. On the other hand, a calm, patient, and quiet person may have ejimi that’s easy to control, but weak.
The Marked are contained in a government facility and used for the government’s benefits. The Marked aren’t treated kindly, so you would think revolts and rebellions are a normal occurrence, but they are actually few and far between because those who do rebel are given harsh punishments.
Your characters are starting a revolt, trying to break free.
