History is a fickle forgotten thing. The world grows, changes, dies, and grows again. Centuries have ran their course, and what was once a stream is a mighty river. What was once a majestic and stunning mountain is once again a hill like its birth.
Great waves swallow the land, and from the pull of the heavenly bodies retract back against the shore. Time has ravaged these lands where once abundant the land is salted and ruined, but none can remember a moment before.
From the scholars of Maezeen to the cloistered tribes of Olinaet the world has taken a newer shape. One that looks to the skies and below the ground looking for the greater understanding. From stoic people of Himin Gopf to the barons of Auvestin the world has been remade in the newer image. The after is more important than the before, paying only homage to the reality of the moment.
The quest for power and domination on the ancient moon of Graelyn Tau looks both forward and back. Your characters will be on that quest for power. Whether it is looking back through time, forward through trade and war, or inside themselves the world must rise, like its tide, in decision.
The southern side of Auvestin, jutting out from the steep cliffs into the Olen Sea, is the City of Brass Lamps–the self assumed capital of trade and commerce on the war torn continent of Moira. There the continent comes the closest together, from the shadowy-isolationists of Saleen to the warriors of Benkyo and the tattered remains of what was once the great and powerful theocratic empire of Lorieth Bath Maer. The counsel meets to discuss the future and the past.
A forgotten time has slowly been exposed. Great constructs and cities have been chipped away through the dust of time and the ice of forgetfulness. New old ways of life have been at the center of understanding. To some they are gods, architects, dead. The civilization of Precursors–the Elderkin–has been exposed on the frozen continent of Undrical far to the north, where even the ice tribes of Hoan would be cold. Theirs is a great hulking history ripe for a new age of understanding and power to those willing to use it exists.
