The year is 2046; the location is Central City. This town was once a gleaming metropolis, but that was almost 100 years ago. Ever since the discovery of the supernatural in 1979, the nation hasn’t been the same, and this city was probably hit the hardest.
Most citizens are still in poverty after the government caused the latest Great Depression. Some people have been able to pull themselves from the muck, but Central City is still far from clean. The government may have put on a shiny new front, but underneath that is a corruption and greed darker than anything this town has ever seen. Testing on supernatural beings has been outlawed, but that doesn’t mean that the government has stopped.
And thanks to the “Hell Machine”, this town becomes even more unpleasant once the S.I.R.E.N. goes off. Although, after decades of dealing with creatures from other dimensions, it is pretty much second nature to the citizens. Mayhem is always in supply in this town. Whether you’re a corrupt government official, a creature hiding in the shadows or just someone trying to get by you still have to ask yourself this question:
Will this city be the death of you?
