Dear esteemed student,
Congratulations, you have been successfully enrolled into the Quintin Quill Academy! This academy aims for the successes of each individual youth, and seeks to teach magic users about their newfound magical abilities. At Quintin Quill, we strive to improve ourselves academically, magically, and personally every year.
You are receiving this letter because this is your first year of attendance at QQA. We understand the confusion you may be experiencing, or perhaps the excitement that pursues you! Let us guide you through your first steps to secure your enrollment at QQA.
1) Fill out the sheet attached. This sheet will request the identification of your “activating catalyst.” For those who are unsure what an activating catalyst is, read on.
An activating catalyst is the object which activated your magical abilities. This object is always handheld, no larger than the average suitcase. You may recall which object this is now, but if you don’t, worry not. This object has been indirectly presented to you by one of the four Gods, displayed somewhere you would’ve been likely to touch. If you ignored it the first time, it might have appeared again, later, closer. If you ignored it once more, the object would reappear again and again until you are physically unable to avoid touching it. However you touched this object, whether by choice or by divine force, this touch activated your magical abilities! You are now flowing with unfamiliar power that can be wielded using your catalyst, and we require that your catalyst be brought to Quintin Quill.
2) Reattach your sheet to this letter (staple or paper clip is recommended) and mail it to the return address stamped.
3) Begin packing your things! Remember, your activation catalyst is required to be brought. We will be checking that you’ve done this when you arrive. Uniforms will be provided upon arrival at the school. Dorming will be necessary, as this is a boarding school.
Dorm rooms include: A small bathroom, two twin-sized beds, two small closets, two drawers, and two study desks (with accompanying chairs). Thumbtacks may be used on walls, but alternatives are suggested. Aside from posters or signs, no other decoration of the walls is allowed. If any paint, spray paint, markers, or other means of vandalization is used on school property, offenders will be punished appropriately. Basic toiletries, towels, and blankets will be provided. Extras can be obtained at the clinic or front office after arrival.
Your first day of school will be the 3rd of September. Lunch will be served starting at 11:30am and ending at 1:00pm. Students will have any time before lunch and an hour after lunch to explore the school before assembly begins. All other necessary information will be covered during the assembly, so be sure to be punctual and on time.
We are thrilled to have you formally enrolled as a student at Quintin Quill Academy and we encourage you to pursue maturity, mastery and diligence throughout your stay here!
