Three hundred years ago a rebellion brought an end to the old Volarian Empire. After a five year siege of the capital of Volaran the city turned over Emperor Kraahn and the royal family to the rebel leaders. The Seven Rebel leaders, along with five Volarian commanders who’d surrendered the city divided the Empire into twelve territories, the Seven Allied Kingdoms and Five Independent Nonaligned Republics.
Since then the Kingdoms have had mostly peace, aside from a few skirmishes with neighboring nations. Always the threat of the united realm kept the most violent rivals at bay, but now that might be coming to an end. Something is moving in the shadows, tensions are rising among the Kingdoms.
King Harlus the Undying of the Elvish Kingdom of Nighteon and last of the original kings has come to Volaran, he’s recruiting a team from across the realm to uncover the conspiracy, before it is too late.
