From when there were ghosts and demons, the Church of The Templar Knights took it upon themselves to rid the world of these impurities and bring a better life to all. It scours the world for those with potential to be exorcists, bringing them in to train and giving them a Holy Weapon to help them with their mission.
These Holy Weapons are imbued with Blessed Power, giving them unique powers when awakened, and the ability to completely erase ghosts from existence. Only a Templar Knight can be bestowed with the honour of such a weapon.
However, in the past few years, several of the Knight’s top brass have left, either entering retirement or defecting to Pagan organisations that wish to topple the church and take control over the conducting of exorcisms.
As a result, Grand Bishop Coalflame, head of the North America division of the Templar Knights has decreed that all those who have been scouted as potential candidates be brought into Headquarters and trained as exorcists, in preparation for anything that might come next.
