Fake news. You have heard it, you can recognise it, but can you write it. Of course you don’t call it ‘fake’, but ‘clarified’, ‘abbreviated’, ‘fact-supported’, ‘countering the opinionated rubbish from…’, you get the gist.
Hop-on, hop-off for beginners, but veterans are equally invited.
Write articles from the perspective of your favourite (or least favourite) newspaper, take their political view and think ‘what could they have said?’. Aim for the tone, while keeping the content funny and fake. This is not about real politics, but satire: about having fun by using arguments and slightly twisting them. The greatest compliment you can give another player is to carefully read their article, take a scalpel and gently roast them.
What do you say about lying economists, washed-up submarines, nation-scale catastrophes, and exceptionally dumb remarks by politicians? Are you a patriotic propaganda machine, the Voice of the People, lifestyle & human interest or the simple truth over breakfast with a page-3 girl? Are you a New York Times, a Daily Mirror, a National Inquirer or a Pravda?
Can you tell The Truth?
